About me

Kate has been in love with love as long as she can remember. She grew up running barefoot through the Ohio Valley forests, dancing around drum circles steeped in magic, and waiting for an angsty vampire to steal her away. Spoiler alert: he never did. A self-proclaimed hopeless romantic, Kate lives and breathes romance—and the spicier, the better—so she writes deeply emotional love stories that explore the human condition.

Currently, she lives in North Carolina with her husband, 3 kids, fat cat, and chocolate lab. When she isn’t writing (amongst the chaos of it all), she’s reading—of course, translating Yiddish poems, teaching college English courses, and drinking too much coffee.

Kate has a BA in English Language and Literature, an MFA in Creative Fiction Writing, and is currently working her way toward her PhD in Literature and Criticism at IUP. She’s an active member of Sigma Tau Delta and the College English Association, and has had work featured in the Gothic Online Literary Magazine, The Crow’s Quill and the Yiddish translation zine, Bitshuve Oif.
